If you are using backup software that you feel would be a good replacement for Acronis True Image, I would very much appreciate any recommendations or suggestions that you may have. I have no faith in the software or the company after this experience. I am now looking for a replacement for Acronis True Image. I again sent an email to (the email that the tech was sending me emails from) and have still received no reply. Recipient has been deleted or has no email address.
That email was kicked back with the following error message. After 3 days, no response from Acronis.Īt the bottom of the tech's email (which included his instructions) there was an email that directed you to email if you needed additional help. I emailed the tech that the problem was still happening. But, this problem was persisting even after the Acronis tech deleted all backups & data and set it up himself. It is not entirely clear what gets deleted when (at least not to me). Now, I admit that Acronis True Image does baffle me a little. When 2 weeks passed, Acronis True Image backed up one or two days and the started alerting me that I was again out of space without deleting the older backups. They said they would wait and he sent me a list of commands and actions that he took. I also told them that I did not have a list of things done by the tech so I would either need that list or have him log into the other 15 PCs and fix them as well. I said no, because 2 weeks had not gone by (the time at which Acronis True Image should automatically delete old backups). While we were waiting they emailed to ask if they could close the ticket. He deleted the old backups, deleted several Acronis True Image files that he said were related to Acronis True Image databases, and then he said he'd keep the ticket open until we saw (in 15 days) whether the deletion problem was resolved.

They had a tech log in to my PC and I let him do whatever he wanted to remedy the issue. So I contacted Acronis (via their chat online) about this situation and I explained to them that I had placed it on about 15 PCs of clients, and mine, and we were having this problem with old backups not being deleted. Acronis True Image just wouldn't delete them. Now those backup plans were set to automatically delete older backups.

I got the same messages on my PC as well.Īfter removing all backups and backup plans, and even completely uninstalling Acronis True Image (using Iobot's Uninstaller Pro so as to not leave any traces), re-installing it and re-setting the backup plans I still had their PCs (and mine) error out because of full disks. Well, I started having Acronis send me emails from client PCs saying that their drive was full.
